Based in Bampur, in Khordha District of Orissa the  Bhagabati Temple is one of the famous Shaktipithas of Orissa. Built by the Sailodhvaba dynasty, the temple belongs to the early group of Kalingan temple architecture.The large number of Buddhist images discovered at Banpur relate the place to the Vajrayan clut of Buddhism.
