BALADEVAJEW TEMPLE .

Also known as Tulasi Khetra to its pilgrims, the Baldevjew temple is situated in the districts of Kendrapara. The main temple spread in an area of over 2 acres is divided into four elaboarate parts/ temples:

1. Bada Deula or Sri Mandir
2. Majhi Mandir or Bhog Mandap
3. Jagamohan or Natya Mandir 
4. Bata Mandir or Mukhashala

Aruna Stambha of a pole measuring 40 feet in height stands in front of the temple. Known as Aruna stambha, this pole measures 4 feet in circumference. The height of main temple (Sri Mandir) is 75 feet and width is 40 feet. The temple is constructed with heavy Baulamalia stone in traditional 7-step architecture. The 3 deities of Sri Baladev Jew, Sri Jagannath and Devi Subhadra are worshipped on a dais named as “Ratna Simhasana”. Other deities that adorn the sanctum are Sri Govinda Jew, Mahalaxmi, Sri Sudarsan, Sri Balgopal and Shalagrama.

The middle temple constructed in 5-step traditional architecture is a bit shorter to the main temple. The ancient Garuda Stambha is inside Jagamohan.

Gigantic Stone statues of lion and elephant are situated in front of Batamandir or Mukhashala. Also present are the statues of Navagraha, Sri Patitapaban and Kshetra Rakshak Sri Hanuman. An Idol of Goddess Tulasi in sitting position is there after the sacred seven steps.

Numerous other temples adorn the interior of the boundary (Bedha). Significant among them are the Ashtasambhu temple, Baikunthanath temple, Kanak Durga temple, Padapadma temple, Navagraha temple, Basudev temple, Sri Ganesh temple, Revati temple, Tulasi temple, Kalki temple, Shadabhuja Gouranga temple & Sriram temple.
